Conseils techniques
Avoid fast, jerky movements. Instead, focus on slow, controlled movements. This will not only help avoid injury, but also ensure that your muscles are being properly engaged. When you crunch up, exhale and contract your abs, hold for a second, then slowly lower yourself back down while inhaling.
A common mistake is not using the full range of motion. Make sure to fully extend your back over the ball at the start of the movement, and then crunch up until your upper body is perpendicular to the floor. This will maximize the effectiveness of the exercise.
Avoid pulling on your neck or head as you crunch up.
