Form tips

Grip and Position

Hold the barbell with a neutral grip (palms facing each other), hands slightly wider than shoulder-width apart. The bar should be hanging straight down from your shoulders. A common mistake is to hold the barbell too wide or too narrow, which can strain your shoulders and limit the effectiveness of the exercise.

Controlled Movement

Lift the barbell in a smooth, controlled motion until your arms are parallel to the floor. Avoid jerking or swinging the barbell up, as this can lead to injury and reduces the effectiveness of the exercise. Slowly lower the barbell back to the starting position.
