Back exercises
The back is a pulling system, not one muscle. Lats adduct and extend the arm; traps and rhomboids retract the scapula; the erectors keep the spine from folding under a hinge. Vertical pulls (pulldown, chin-up) and horizontal rows share this hub because searchers say back exercises when they want thickness or width. Grip and elbow path change which line does the work: elbows in hits the lat more; elbows out hits the upper back. Deadlift patterns appear when the catalog tags the spinal erectors as a target. Equipment in this slice runs from cables and bars to bodyweight hangs. Each card lists the primary muscle so a lat pulldown does not hide among face pulls. The atlas is a directory, not a program — pick a movement, then judge load and volume yourself.
