Avoid Using Momentum

One common mistake is using body momentum to perform the pull-up. This not only reduces the effectiveness of the exercise but also increases the risk of injury. Instead, focus on using your back and arm muscles to pull yourself up and lower yourself down.

Engage Your Core

Engaging your core is essential for maintaining proper form during the exercise. It helps to stabilize your body, preventing unnecessary swinging and ensuring that your back and arm muscles are doing the work.

Don't Rush

Another common mistake is performing the exercise too quickly. Instead, try to perform the pull-up in a slow and controlled manner.
