Form tips

Knee Alignment

When lunging to the side, make sure your knee is aligned with your foot. A common mistake is to let the knee extend beyond the toes, which can put undue pressure on the knee joint and potentially cause injury.

Depth of Lunge

The effectiveness of this exercise depends on the depth of your lunge. Aim to lower your body until your thigh is parallel to the floor, but don't force yourself into a deeper lunge if it's uncomfortable or if you're unable to maintain proper form.

Controlled Movement

Perform the exercise in a controlled manner.
