Obliques exercises

The internal and external obliques rotate and side-bend the trunk and resist those actions in a carry or pallof hold. This hub collects chops, side crunches, Russian-twist patterns, and anti-rotation entries the catalog marked as oblique work. A front plank that only names the rectus belongs on the abs page. Side planks belong here when the target is the obliques. Rotation with a medicine ball or cable is the loaded version of the same anatomy. Because these muscles wrap the waist rather than sitting on the midline, the map highlight sits on the side of the trunk, not the six-pack. Similar exercises stay on rotary or lateral patterns. The atlas will not claim fat loss from oblique training; it only lists the movements.
